Turtle Visit June 2013

This was the moment I realized that this island is very special. I love marine life and have a lot of experience protecting and helping marine mammals in Alaska. This tired turtle needed a rest and we sure appreciated having a close up look. 

We had set up our blanket and were relaxing when the turtle showed up. I am sure it was disappointed to not be alone...anyway it rested for awhile and then went back into the water.
